Project Description: After unearthing my old Beatrix Potter baby blanket, I decided to breathe new life into it by turning it into a jacket. Using an old linen duvet cover to supplement the blanket material, I used that fabric for the sleeves, and accent pieces.

The Beatrix Potter illustrations are 36 years old faded, so I chose to embellish them by tracing the lines with stem stitch embroidery. In order to use as much of the original baby blanket fabric as possible, I used scraps to make elbow patches that will feature embroidered dandelions.
