Hypnos is an E-boy - Hades Game Cosplay/Bounding

Project Title: Hypnos is an E-boy

Project Description: This project was inspired by the first Hades game from SuperGiant Games. Hypnos, the god of sleep, instantly captured my heart. I had to make something inspired by him, but not a direct cosplay. I reimagined him as a bit of an e-boy.

The initial sketch was a good starting off point, but I made quite a few changes from that to the finished piece. I never re-sketched the design, but the changes are as follows:

• unseen here, but the addition of a tank top under the jacket

• changing from an athletic jacket to an oversized/cropped puffy jacket to really pull in the blanket vibe

• cuff the pants to both give structure and form to the flowy velvet.

• the shoulder wings became a literal pull from the original character art, as well as the hand embroidered eye mask.

I also chose to make a cross-body bag inspired by his belt; made with upcycled faux leather, and hand-embroidered details.
